Media Feature: Toronto Life

I was excited to see this week that Toronto Life had chosen me as one Toronto Etsy designer to watch out for. Pretty cool. You can read the full article here.

It's been hard to maintain the blog lately, it has been production mayhem over here.  I think I see a light though - one more show this weekend and then things will start to relax. It has been a month and a half of non stop sewing and filling orders and shows. Even though things have been a tad stressful, I must say that I do love when things are this busy. It feels wonderful to be so productive and to keep pushing myself further and further. However, I must admit I have been relishing the thought that soon I will be drinking eggnog latte's and wrapping Christmas presents. :)

Tomorrow I am headed to a wonderful show in Montreal called Puces Pop - if you're in town please come by and say hi!

I hope wherever you are you are keeping warm. XO

New Tunes Pharrell Williams

I have been raving about this music video/project over on Facebook and to anyone who will listen and I just have to share it here too. Pharrell Williams wrote this amazing tune which just captures the spirit of happiness so perfectly. And, if that were not enough, created this BRILLIANT music video. The interactive video captures people dancing to the song for 24 hours across Los Angeles and it is BEAUTIFUL.  I have been obsessed with watching it the past few days and any time I need a little pick me up I put on the song and dance along.   I don't know how to express this without sounding corny so I will just say it. I believe that happiness, joy and above all,  to evolve love, is each human beings birthright and purpose on this planet.  As I watched this I literally became moved to tears with the beauty inherent in the diversity of humanity. Seeing hundreds of people dancing to this song, each in their own distinct way and emanating such joy was profound and touching.

You can watch the abbreviated version I have embedded above but I highly recommend checking out the full 24 hour version over here.
